Yemanya at Mondiall
Yemanya has ended its successful season at Mondiall and will be back next year due to popular demand.
Yemanya’s unique global, groovy, glam fusion of classics with touches of African influences is taking S.A. by storm. This exciting new collaboration which is the birth child of Marleze Smit is now available for corporate bookings, private functions and other.
Marleze, a classical trained concert pianist,
spent her earlier years performing with
orchestras as solo pianist and excelled in many various music competitions. Then did some teaching and started entertaining audiences as
a solo pianist for corporate functions, weddings + special occasions. Repeated requests from her audiences, led her to the production of her first
cd, Yemanya! A pianist, drummer, marimba
player, violinist and cellist create an aural composition unique to Yemanya. French,
Spanish and Argentinian melodies
complemented by African rhythmic beats in a Buddha bar-ish kind of vibe has become the
niche of Yemanya’s ground-breaking sound.
